About

Maureen Reilly Ursery creates a world of color and recognizable forms with the Idea of morphing them into some universal reality. Her figurative work is not about what it looks like to be human but is her interpretation of what it feels like.

What remains constant in Reilly Ursery's work is her multi-colored view of the world to probe life's questions and mysteries and to communicate with the viewer through a rich use of color and an emotionally loose style of painting.

She is a Chicago native whose work has been enhanced through meaningful relationships with other artists and their work and cultural exchanges and travel through the years.
Education: Loyola University, Chicago and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
